Scissor-tailed Flycatcher

Scissor-tailed Flycatcher

I just have to share the photos I took today of the STFL working the cliffs. The bird had left the stream and had disappeared when I arrived after Jim Lomax's timely post. From the cliffs I saw Jerry Ting on the sand and made my way down to him and the bird was flycatching above us in the clearing light, showing full colors. Soon Joe Morlan and Robbie Fisher and several others joined us for about another 20 minutes before it flew back to the stream, perched a photo or two then flew up onto the golf course. I am so glad it stuck around. What a gift!
